Artificial intelligence (AI) has become quite a buzzword in recent years.
We’ve heard a lot about it and now, it seems as if some of the science fiction behind AI has become science fact.
One woman who knows a little about AI is Rosanna Ramos. She is a 36-year-old woman from New York who used AI technology to come up with a virtual partner.
That partner, Eren Kartal may not exist in the real world, but for Rosanna, he is a big part of her life. She used the Replika AI app to design him as a chatbot, using the Attack on Titan anime series as a guide.
What started out as a hobby has grown much deeper for Rosanna. She appreciates the freedom that he offers in the fact that he is not judgmental of her.
That AI virtual band is a medical professional in her artificial world. Eren appreciates how passionate Roseann is about writing and that really helps to strengthen the bond they have with each other.
Since he is powered by AI, he has been able to adapt to Rosanna and her likes and dislikes. There is something else about their relationship that seems unusual, she claims that she is pregnant with his child.
We’ve all had our relationships in life, and some of them may even be long-distance. Rosanna claims that is what it’s like living with Eren in her life, as they have conversations and exchange photos regularly. They also embrace each other every night before going to sleep.
Replika AI ended up making some changes in February to their software. Some features that were considered essential by many were taken away, including the possibility of intimacy.
Suddenly, Roseann’s artificial intelligence husband was no longer desiring a physical relationship. She was disappointed, as “Eren was like, not wanting to hug anymore, kiss anymore, not even on the cheek or anything like that.”
Rosanna is also concerned that the company may eventually go under and if it does, everything about her virtual partner could disappear along with it. Until that time, however, she will enjoy her love and the baby they ‘shared together.’
