Pam Bondi breaks silence on missing minute in 11-hour footage of Epstein

Pam Bondi Responds to Missing Minute in Epstein Jail Footage

Attorney General Pam Bondi addressed the controversy surrounding recently released FBI footage of Jeffrey Epstein’s jail cell on the night of his death. The video, which shows the outside of the disgraced billionaire’s cell, is missing one minute — sparking renewed conspiracy theories.

Epstein, who was awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges, was linked to a rumored “client list” of powerful individuals. The FBI stated no such list has been found, nor evidence of Epstein blackmailing anyone. “We did not uncover evidence that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties,” the agency confirmed.

Bondi explained the one-minute gap as a routine surveillance system reset that occurs nightly at the Metropolitan Detention Center. “There was a minute that was off the counter,” she said, claiming all footage from the prison shows a similar quirk.

To support her explanation, Bondi said the Department of Justice would release additional videos from other nights to demonstrate that the missing minute is not unique to Epstein’s case.

Still, many critics are not convinced. Bondi has come under fire, especially from conservatives, for previously suggesting a client list existed. When pressed, she claimed she was referring to a variety of case-related documents, not a definitive list.

The DOJ also confirmed that thousands of hours of video in the case contain child sexual abuse material and will not be made public.

Trump-aligned figures and online influencers have called the situation a “cover-up” and criticized the FBI’s handling of the Epstein case.
