Lara Trump blasts Biden’s failed policies and praises Trump’s bold crime crackdown

Lara Trump isn’t holding back. On her Fox News show My View, the president’s daughter-in-law delivered a fiery monologue this week, taking aim at Joe Biden and Democratic leaders for what she called years of neglect that left America’s cities in decline.

A sharp contrast between Trump and Biden
Speaking to viewers, Lara opened by praising President Donald J. Trump’s decisive move to federalize Washington, D.C.’s police department under the Home Rule Act and deploy the National Guard to restore law and order.

“This week, President Trump took bold, decisive action to protect our nation’s capital,” Lara said. “A city that represents America to the world had fallen into crime and chaos, and the President announced a historic plan to restore law and order.”

She reminded audiences that under Trump, restoring safety isn’t just about Washington. It’s a blueprint for every U.S. city dragged into decline by failed liberal policies.

Calling out Democrats on crime
Lara didn’t mince words when describing the contrast. She pointed directly at Democrats, including Joe Biden’s long record in Washington, blaming their policies for putting criminals before victims.

“For years, we watched gang activity and homelessness spread across the country,” she said. “Democrats promised compassion and equity, while letting our cities crumble. With Biden, it only got worse — cashless bail, open-air drug markets, and prosecutors more concerned about suspects than victims.”

She pointed to the “defund the police” movement and unchecked illegal immigration as proof that Democrats’ approach left ordinary citizens vulnerable. “What you get,” she said bluntly, “is lawlessness.”

A different vision under Trump
The contrast, Lara argued, couldn’t be clearer.

“President Trump and his GOP allies have a different vision,” she said. “It’s one where our cities are clean, safe, and thriving. Where criminals are arrested, not coddled. Where police officers have the resources, respect, and authority to protect innocent people.”

Her message was reinforced with clips of Trump at the White House podium and remarks from Attorney General Pam Bondi, who recently issued an executive order rolling back D.C.’s sanctuary protections for illegal immigrants.

Lara noted how quickly Democratic leaders tried to block the measures in court — a move she described as choosing control over the city instead of protecting citizens from violence.

Rallying Republicans for the future
This isn’t Lara Trump’s first time using her platform to rally conservatives around the Trump agenda. Earlier this year, she welcomed Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Majority Leader John Thune on her show, praising their leadership in pushing forward a unified Republican vision.

“We have a historic task before us — to right the ship, remedy the radical left’s policies, and restore American greatness,” she said at the time.

From her spot on Fox News, Lara is making it clear: whether it’s tackling crime, pushing conservative values, or showcasing Republican leaders, she’s firmly in the fight to keep the Trump agenda alive and strong.
