Kate Middleton is fighting cancer but remains committed to her public duties, according to a senior royal aide. After announcing her diagnosis in March and starting preventative chemotherapy, Kate has stayed out of the spotlight.
Despite her illness, the Princess of Wales is excited about a new project that could boost the UK economy by £45.5 billion ($57 billion) a year. The Daily Mirror reports that her Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood will soon publish a report highlighting five business areas that can help children under five and their caregivers.
A senior royal aide told MailOnline, “The Princess of Wales was the driving force behind the business task force. She has been kept up to date and has read the report. This is a clear commitment she has made throughout her life of public service, and it will continue when she returns to work.” However, Kate needs space and privacy to recover and will return to work when doctors give the green light.
Established in 2021, the Centre for Early Childhood is described as Kate’s “life’s work.” Although details about her condition remain private, her public remains concerned and supportive.
