Jonathan Turley Gives Hunter Biden Bad News Over Melania Lawsuit

George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley stated on Thursday that Hunter Biden’s conflict with First Lady Melania Trump is unlikely to end well for him.

On August 6, Melania Trump’s attorney, Alejandro Brito, threatened Hunter Biden with a $1 billion lawsuit over his claim on Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan that the first lady met President Donald Trump through the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Appearing on Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom,” Jonathan Turley noted that Biden’s firm refusal to retract or apologize for the allegation may prove to be “unwelcome news” for him.

“In the notice letter, they said they would be seeking $1 billion and I can say right now without discovery [that] he doesn’t have it. That’s a lot of paintings that he would have to move and their value has gone down dramatically since he left office,” Turley said.

“The fact is that the first lady has succeeded in getting several news outlets to retract this story. They really go after the source, this author named [Michael] Wolff who has been repeatedly challenged in terms of the accuracy of things he has written about the Trump family [and] the Trump administration … So this is not exactly welcome news for Hunter Biden,” Turley added.

Biden referenced biographer Michael Wolff’s claims that the first lady maintained close ties to Jeffrey Epstein and was introduced to Donald Trump in 1998 by ID Models founder Paolo Zampolli, who allegedly had connections to Epstein and his associate, Ghislaine Maxwell. Melania Trump’s legal team has strongly rejected these assertions and successfully secured their retraction.

In the latest episode of Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan, Biden dismissed calls to apologize for what he acknowledged were “false, defamatory, disparaging, and inflammatory statements” about the first lady, saying such an apology is “not going to happen.” Biden said on the program: “F**k that.”

On July 30, The Daily Beast ran the headline “Melania Trump Was ‘Very Involved’ in Epstein Scandal: Author,” but later retracted the story and issued an apology after receiving a letter from the first lady’s attorney. On the August 7 episode of his Politics War Room podcast, James Carville announced that his team had removed a video referencing Wolff’s claims and apologized for his remarks.
