“Jacob and his wife adopted Sophie when she was 2 years old. Later, Emma became pregnant and gave birth to a son. After the births, Sophie said something to her father that he couldn’t come to terms with for a long time.”

Emma and Jacob had been married for 6 years, but they couldn’t conceive a child no matter what they tried. They had explored various treatments and options, but nothing seemed to work. Eventually, they lost hope and decided to adopt a child, specifically a girl. Meanwhile, in the orphanage, little Sophia had been waiting for her parents for 2 years. She was about to turn 5 and couldn’t remember how she ended up in the orphanage or where her parents were, but she sat by the window and waited for them eagerly.

When she saw they from the window, she became anxious. Her heart raced, and she couldn’t understand why. Sophia approached them, her long eyelashes fluttering, and asked, “Do I have a mom and dad?” The happy family left the orphanage together, and it seemed like Sophia was the reward for kind hearts that had remained compassionate even after years of challenges in life.

Once, while were having lunch, suddenly didn’t feel well. She rushed to the bathroom, with Sophia and following. They stood outside the bathroom door, hearing only the loud sound of running water. When emerged, she looked pale, but she reassured her family, saying that she had tasted some raw ground meat while seasoning it, which made her feel queasy. A week later, Anastasia found out she was pregnant.

Jacob was overjoyed, and when they explained the situation to Sophia, she was also thrilled. She honestly admitted that she wanted a little brother so that she could protect him first, and then he could protect her. For the entire 9 months, Sophia and Jacob practically revolved around, not allowing her to lift even small packages. After 9 months, Michael, the long-awaited brother, was born. Sophia was devoted to her brother, taking care of him, and sitting by him while he slept to make sure no one disturbed his sweet slumber.

Later, Sophia became somewhat reserved, no longer laughing without a reason. One day, woke up early as usual to make coffee for himself and before her awakening. He noticed that the light was on in Sophia’s room. He entered and found Sophia already dressed, with a backpack containing her clothes and a small box of toys beside her. She said, “I know I’m a big girl now, and you don’t need me anymore. You already have Michael. You can take me back to the orphanage if you want, but I won’t resist. I just want to take a few toys with me. The rest I’m giving to Michael because I have more than just dolls.”

embraced his daughter tightly and reassured her, “You are our real daughter, just like Michael is our real son. We will never leave you. Don’t even think about it. You are our treasure, and we will never let you go.” A huge weight was lifted from Sophia’s heart at that moment, which had been a heavy burden for her for the past few days. She felt calm and fully embraced her family. and thank God for Sophia every day, believing that her arrival in their lives led to the miracle of Michael’s birth and the completeness of their family.
