She announced the plans for a documentary about herself, with the theatre release date set for January 30, 2026.<\/p>\n
In addition to the documentary, a follow-up series was reportedly being produced. As reported in early 2025, three people familiar with the deal said it\u2019s worth $40 million in licensing fees. The project began filming in December 2024 and was initially scheduled for theatrical release and streaming in the second half of 2025. Now, it\u2019s arriving in late January.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo I had an idea to make a movie, to make a film about my life. My life is incredible. It\u2019s incredibly busy and I told my agent I have this idea so please go out and make a deal for me. We started the production in November and we are shooting right now. So it\u2019s a day-to-day life. What I\u2019m doing, what kind of responsibilities I have, people they don\u2019t really know and they will see it,\u201d Melania told Fox.<\/p>\n
In later months, it\u2019s been very quiet around Melania and her documentary. Questions about whether it would be released were raised. But on Wednesday, fans saw the trailer for the first time.<\/p>\n
The documentary, titled Melania, follows the first lady over 20 days leading up to the 2025 inauguration. It offers \u201cunprecedented access\u201d and promises \u201cexclusive footage capturing critical meetings, private conversations, and never-before-seen environments.\u201d<\/p>\n
Intimate private phone call with Donald
\nThe documentary\u2019s tagline reads, \u201cWitness history in the making,\u201d and the trailer has been released. It follows Melania in her \u201cusual,\u201d elements, ascending the stairs to her private jet, business meetings in Florida and New York, and of course, a stunning shot of her white-and-black inaugural ball gown.<\/p>\n
Moreover, behind-the-scenes footage captured more intimate moments, including family time with Barron and her father.<\/p>\n
However, the trailer\u2019s perhaps most interesting moment is the one when she calls her husband, Donald Trump. She made the call from the penthouse in Trump Tower, revealing how they speak when in private.<\/p>\n
