Veteran actress Jennifer Garner shared the news of her father, William John Garner’s passing, on social media. Mr. Garner passed away peacefully in his sleep over the Easter weekend at the age of 85.
Garner’s emotional post included a collection of photos featuring her and her father throughout the years. She expressed her gratitude for the time they shared, especially during his final months.
“While there is no tragedy in the death of an 85-year-old man who lived a healthy, wonderful life,” Garner wrote, “I know grief is unavoidable.”
The caption went on to describe Mr. Garner’s kind and gentle nature, his playful spirit, and his unwavering dedication to his family. Garner also thanked the medical staff who cared for her father and allowed him to enjoy his final days.
