Daughter of NJ police chief accuses him, others of ‘ritualistic’ abuse

A shocking news story has appeared in New Jersey. The daughter, Courtney Tamagny, has accused her father, long-time New Jersey Police Chief Scott Tamagny, of repeatedly raping her as a part of a “ritualistic” cult involving their neighbors.

In a shocking lawsuit, reported by the NY Post, Courtney Tamagny, 20, has put forward allegations against her father and Leonia Police Chief Scott Tamagny for raping her for more than a decade.

It also includes their neighbor, Kevin Slevin, and others. According to the NY Post, both Police Chief Tamagny and Slevin stated that the claims were thoroughly investigated by the federal government, but were ultimately deemed unfounded.

Still, Courtney Tamagny has now decided to take her claims of rape public, and it’s shocking. Now 20, Courtney claims her father and her neighbour brutally abused her in their own home, along with “ritualistic” worshippers in the woods near their home. According to the court documents, her father allegedly threatened to murder her mother if she ever spoke about what had happened.

According to Courtney, the alleged abuse began in 2009 when she was only four years old. The lawsuit claims it continued until she was 15 in 2020. Moreover, the lawsuit states that Courtney Tamagny’s two sisters also were subjected to abuse, and that their father had used drugs to sedate them before assaulting them.

Daughter accuses father of sexual abuse as part of a cult
He reportedly chose an hour when their mother, Jeanne Tamagny, either was asleep with earplugs in the downstairs bedroom or when he was away.

“[Courtney was brought] into the woods in Rockland County New York, and there was what appeared to be other middle-aged men present with masks on their faces,” the lawsuit claimed. “She recalls there being fire and animals being burned, and they would chant as if ritualistic.”

“She was sexually assaulted in those woods by defendant Slevin, defendant father, and some of the other men present,” it further claimed.

Moreover, Courtney claims she suppressed memories of the abuse for many years as part of a survival tactic. When she visited a doctor for genital pain, she says the memories were brought to the surface. The doctor had asked her if she had been sexually abused, which brought flashbacks. According to court documents, her therapist reported the sexual abuse in 2022.

As mentioned, Corutney Tamagny has decided to take the shocking accusation public. She has used both social media and spoken on podcasts about the sex abuse. Someone has also created a Change.org petition to suspend her father from his work as Police Chief.

Petition calls for father to be suspended from police service
“Rather than stepping aside to allow for an impartial investigation, Chief Tamagny has remained in his role, raising concerns about transparency. Mr. Tamagny has deleted his personal social media profiles, and the Leonia Police Department’s Facebook page has also been removed, actions that many perceive as attempts to obscure scrutiny. Such responses only deepen the community’s unease and underscore the need for accountability;” the petition on Change.org read.

“The trust and safety of our community depend on transparency and accountability. The integrity of Leonia demands that these allegations be met not with skepticism, but with due diligence and caution. In light of the severity of these claims, it is only prudent that Chief Tamagny take a paid leave of absence, allowing these matters to be thoroughly investigated without bias or hindrance,” it continued. “Protecting Leonia means ensuring that those in positions of power are held to the highest standard, especially when questions arise about their conduct. It’s not about presumption of guilt; it’s about safeguarding the town’s integrity and letting the investigative process unfold unimpeded.”

Appearing on the podcast We’re All Insane in April, Courtney Tamagny recalled that several generations of her father’s “bloodline” had been part of a satanic cult together with many of their neighbors. She claimed the cultists had dug “tunnels” that they used to go through with their rituals without anyone knowing. It allegedly includes “taking kids’ blood,” “burnings,” and “drum circles.”

She described those alleged memories in detail on the podcast “We’re All Insane” in April, claiming that generations of her father’s “bloodline” had been in a satanic cult alongside numerous neighbors in their North Jersey town — and that they ritualistically raped her and her siblings, and even allegedly trafficked children and burned them alive in their local woods.

“Cult members would chase them down and assault them”
Courtney claimed on the podcast that the neighborhood cultists had “tunnels” they would use to covertly operate their rituals, which allegedly included “taking kids’ blood,” “drum circles,” and “burnings” that would last all night.

“What scared us the most is ‘OK, we’re doing this to these people we’ve trafficked, why wouldn’t we do this to you? Because we just did that to this young girl or this young boy,’” Courtneney said on the podcast, adding that the alleged cult was part of a national network of satanists engaged in child trafficking.

“We would go into the woods, and we would play ‘games’ which were not games,” she continued, explaining about the game “Hunter and Gatherers,” where up to ten kids were released into the woods and allowed to hide. After that, cult members would chase them down and assault them.

“They made it as if it was a game and you could win,” she added. “You weren’t going to win, you were always going to be hit, they just wanted you to look terrified and run.”

Both Police Chief Scott Tamagny and Kefvin Slevin deny the claims. Slevin’s attorney, Kevin Corriston, told the NY Post that “this entire complaint was previously investigated by everybody from Homeland Security, to the Attorney General’s Office in New Jersey, to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, and they found no basis at all for these outrageous allegations.”

Moreover, Chief Tamagny’s attorney called the allegations “completely false and defamatory.”

I SLEPT UNDER A BRIDGE — BUT MY DOG KEPT ME WARM, ALIVE, AND HUMAN People think rock bottom is when you lose your home, your job, or your family. They’re wrong. For me, it was the day I realized no one had said my name in two weeks. Not once. Except for him—Bixby. My dog. He didn’t speak it, of course, but every morning he’d look at me with those big, patient eyes, tail wagging slow and steady, like I was still worth something. Like I was still his person. We’d already been through hell together—eviction, shelters turning us away because of “no pets,” nights curled up under an old tarp while the wind cut through us. And still, he never strayed. Never stopped pressing himself against me in the cold like he could keep the world away just by staying close. Once, after two days without food, someone tossed a sausage biscuit from a car window. I split it right down the middle, but Bixby just nudged his half toward me with his nose. His eyes said, You first. I can wait. That moment cracked something in me. I started carrying a cardboard sign—not to beg, but to tell people who we were. Because strangers saw the dirt, the frayed hoodie, the unshaven face. They didn’t see him. They didn’t see how he kept me alive in more ways than one. And then last week—just as I was packing up to move spots—a woman in scrubs stopped in front of us. She looked right at me, right at Bixby… and said five words that changed everything. (continue reading in the 1st comment)
