Dannii Minogue Bravely Reveals She ‘Identifies As Queer’

Dannii Minogue couldn’t hide her emotions as she unveiled the groundbreaking new gay dating show, “I Kissed A Girl,” fighting back tears of pride as she introduced the series and shared her personal journey.

Scheduled to hit screens this May, “I Kissed A Girl” brings ten single women together under one roof in a luxurious Italian villa, aiming to ignite romantic sparks among them. The ten-episode series follows the success of its predecessor, “I Kissed A Boy,” which aired last May. Dannii expressed her astonishment that there hadn’t been a dating show specifically for lesbian and bisexual women until now, emphasising its importance during the series launch.

“It’s surreal,” she remarked, “that there hasn’t been a show for the girls in the reality gay dating world. It’s like we need this to happen. I’m hoping that there are parties up and down the country.”

During the launch event, Dannii also revealed her own identification as queer, a moment that resonated deeply with the contestants. As the women in the series expressed their attraction to her, Dannii humorously responded, “You girls are hot. You know it. I love it. I’m here for it. Is that an answer?”

Despite some challenges and criticism she faced previously, Dannii expressed her desire for the show’s success, hoping for more seasons to come. She praised the bravery of the contestants, holding back tears as she commended them for stepping into uncharted territory.

“You girls are so brave and amazing and have brought so much to it,” she said emotionally. “I could never do what you have done. I will always be in awe of what has happened and what we’ve created. I feel so proud.”

The announcement of the show’s premiere garnered excitement from fans, with many eagerly anticipating its release. Producers promised a series filled with drama, aimed at breaking stereotypes and delivering unexpected twists.

“I Kissed A Girl” offers a unique approach to matchmaking, with couples sharing a kiss before exchanging any words. Chemistry is put to the test from the start, with the hope that these initial kisses will blossom into lasting connections.
