The metal detector at the airport in the Turkish city of Bursa, located in the north of the country, was triggered by the backpack of 6-year-old Selim Kıyaz, who was accompanying his grandparents.
Airport security asked the boy to provide his belongings for a more detailed inspection. To their surprise, they discovered the reason the metal detector went off!
In the child’s bag, they found only realistic toy guns. In a video from eyewitnesses, you can see the relief on the face of the police officer when he saw the toys and carefully inspected them.
The boy even jokingly pulled the trigger and had a very cute conversation with the law enforcement officers.
Local media quickly picked up on the humorous story of the “terrorist attack” caused by the boy, and Selim quickly became a star on social media.
