Although Mufasa experienced a few months of liberty, his health deteriorated due to the years of mistreatment. He passed away in 2015, having suffered kidney failure and age-related issues. Despite the sadness surrounding his story, Mufasa’s rescue highlights the ongoing need to address animal abuse and advocate for the well-being of animals in captivity.
