Circus lion was locked up for 20 long years, now watch his reaction when he’s released

Mufasa, a mountain lion, endured 20 years of misery chained to the back of a pickup truck as part of a traveling circus in Peru. Fortunately, Animal Defenders International, working to shut down the circus, rescued him in 2015. The video captures Mufasa’s first moments of freedom, a poignant testament to the positive impact of animal rescue efforts. Although Mufasa experienced a few months of liberty, his health deteriorated due to the years of mistreatment. He passed away in 2015, having suffered kidney failure and age-related issues. Despite the sadness surrounding his story, Mufasa’s rescue highlights the ongoing need to address animal abuse and advocate for the well-being of animals in captivity.
