Nancy Grace warmed hearts across social media this week after sharing a rare family photo — and fans couldn’t help but notice one surprising detail: her son’s impressive height.
On November 2, 2025, the veteran legal commentator posted an autumn snapshot with her 18-year-old twins, John David and Lucy Elizabeth, during their annual trip to Burt’s Pumpkin Patch. Surrounded by golden leaves and bright orange pumpkins, John David stood between his mother and sister, towering over both of them. Grace captioned the photo:
“Yearly Trek to Burt’s Pumpkin Patch for pumpkins and boiled peanuts! Have a great Sunday!!”
Within minutes, the comments section lit up with affection and astonishment.
“He’s twice your height!” one follower wrote.
Another teased, “Nancy, what are you feeding that boy?!”
Many longtime fans also marveled at how quickly the twins have grown, remembering when Grace first spoke about them as infants on national television.
Just days earlier, Grace celebrated their 18th birthday with an emotional throwback photo on Facebook, writing:
“MY MIRACLE BABIES! ONCE IN A LIFETIME! HAPPY BIRTHDAY AWESOME AND MINIME!!!”
John David and Lucy Elizabeth were born on November 4, 2007, arriving prematurely when Grace was 48. Their birth followed a complicated pregnancy that nearly took her life. Only a week later, she suffered a severe pulmonary embolism — a blood clot in her lungs — and spent months recovering in a wheelchair.
Her husband, David Linch, told People at the time that she was “doing pretty doggone good,” though Grace later admitted just how close she had come to death. The near-fatal experience, she has said, forever changed her perspective.
“Before I had the babies, I never really let myself love 100%,” she once shared. “Lucy and John David changed all that.”
Now, eighteen years later, her “miracle babies” are grown, healthy, and thriving — and fans couldn’t be happier to celebrate the milestone with her.
