Ferne McCann has responded to critics who call her an “attention-seeker” for openly sharing her breastfeeding journey. The former TOWIE star, who is still breastfeeding her two-year-old daughter Finty, told Grazia she posts about it to support other mothers — not for attention.“People say I go on about it too much,” she said. “But breastfeeding mums do experience shame. There’s a lack of support and so much stigma attached to it. I post to show support and maybe inspire those who are expecting.”

Ferne breastfed her first daughter, Sunday, for six months due to work commitments but has been able to continue longer with Finty. “I don’t know when I’ll stop,” she said. “I’m just going with it.”She also revealed that Finty initially struggled to latch due to a locked jaw from a fast delivery but recovered after cranial therapy.

During a This Morning interview, Ferne addressed mum-shaming and claims she “gets them out again.” She said critics oversexualize breastfeeding and may feel “triggered” by others’ success.“I’m pro-breastfeeding, but not anti-formula,” Ferne explained. “What’s wonderful is that women have choice. My goal is to support the breastfeeding community — not to shame anyone.”
