Marine Guard Ignores Little Boy, Then People Notice What He Does With His Left Hand

A touching and uplifting movie from 1997 has become incredibly popular recently.

A small child approaches a Marine guard in the popular commercial and asks about Santa Claus.

With hope in his eyes, the youngster glances up at the guard, but the guard doesn’t appear to notice him at first; his eyes never stay on the boy.

Unfazed, the child proceeds to display the guard his Christmas wish list in the hopes that it will be granted.

The boy’s list is unexpectedly taken by the guard, who reaches out with his left hand.

This heartwarming commercial accomplishes a very significant goal: it raises awareness of the Toys For Tots initiative run by the Marine Corps Reserve.

Started in 1947, the program takes in new, unopened toys annually in the months of October, November, and December.

After that, these toys are given to kids who don’t have as much, offering them a message of hope and helping them grow up to be responsible, valued, and patriotic members of society.

This little 30-second film has a tremendous effect that makes people cry, even after watching it multiple times.

It distinguishes itself from other Christmas commercials by making a compelling case for generosity and goodwill.

It’s clear that the film arouses powerful feelings in viewers, and its widespread appeal highlights how important it is for organizations like Toys For Tots to bring holiday cheer to underprivileged kids.

Please tell your family and friends to see this endearing film!
